How Rank Prediction Works
Our rank predictor uses a machine learning model trained on historical exam data, taking into account:
- Normalization: Scores are adjusted based on the shift difficulty using a normalization factor. Learn moreSSC uses a formula: Normalized Score = (Actual Score × Average of Top 1% in All Shifts) ÷ Average of Top 1% in Your Shift. This eliminates shift-based bias.
- Category-wise cutoffs: Different qualifying criteria are applied for General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories.
- Percentile calculation: Your score is compared against historical score distributions for the selected exam.
- Trend analysis: Recent exam patterns and candidate turnout trends are factored into the prediction.
For the most accurate estimate, use your scores from full-length mock tests that closely simulate the actual exam conditions.
